Best Night Light Update

Today we have rolled out a new version of Best Night Light to the Google Play store*. This update contains mostly bug fixes but we have managed to squeeze in a couple of additions for you all!

The first new thing is the option to remove the bokeh particles from the Lava Light. (The bokeh are the little white circles which move across the screen). There have been a couple of requests for this feature, so we have added it 🙂

The second new thing, isn’t really a new thing at all. It’s the welcome return of the Trophies! There are 6 to collect, but what exactly you have to do to unlock them is hidden.

Best Night Light is available from the Google Play Store, click the link below…

Best Night Light News

News about the update

I know we said we were aiming to have the Best Night Light update finished by the 1st of July, but sadly that day has been and gone and still we sit here in the dark musty corners of WotC towers coding away into the small hours.

I’m happy to say that all the hard work is paying off though and we have a very nice update shaping up for you.

We’ll announce the release on all the usual social media channels as soon as it’s live in the stores. But realistically we are looking at probably another two weeks yet before its finished

Other news

I’m also happy to announce that Best Night Light is currently installed on over 30,000 devices across the globe! That’s as many people as fit in our local football stadium! It’s nice to see so many people are using our app and leaving (mostly) positive feedback on the reviews.

We’ve also not forgotten about the fantastic prize giveaway we have planned to coincide (more or less) with the release of the new Best Night Light update! More news about this soon!

Best Night Light Update – New features and bug fixes

In a few short hours, the latest version of Best Night Light will be available for download from the Google Play Store, there’s a link at the bottom of this post for those too impatient to wait for it to auto-update in the morning. This update includes the obligatory bug fixes, including a doozy of a bug which caused the ‘infinite’ night light duration to be considerably less than infinite.

There are also some great new features which have been added (Most of which have been suggested to us by people who use Best Night Light). You can now turn the button sounds on and off from the menu. There is also a great new screen lock, so no more accidentally turning the light off when your trying to read. And finally you can now choose any one of seven different colours for the night light, not only that but the app now remembers your settings from the last time you used it!

We hope you all enjoy the new update as much as you have the previous ones, and if you wanted to know more (or just wanted to update quicker) here is a link to the store page.

Best Night Light updated

The new update to Best Night Light went live on the Google Play Store today. It includes an update to the User Interface to make it a little more intuitive to use, there is also the addition of some new Lava Lamp modes as well as some general bug fixes and behind the scenes stuff.

Best Night Light is still our most popular app by far, having been downloaded almost 20,000 times now. It’s a great way to add some gentle atmospheric lighting to your personal space. It features 3 modes, a Night light which shines a gentle white light from your phone screen. You can set this to a timer if you like so it exits after a set amount of time; a Mood light which gently fades between a random series of colours; and a Lava lamp which fills your screen with colourful swirls and whirls to help you relax.

We’ve also given the Google Play Store page a bit of a refresh by completely redoing the screen shots, making them look a lot better (If you ask me, lol 🙂 )
